Armenian Delegation Receives a Special Certificate
By the invitation of National Commission for UNESCO in Russian Federation, Artak Barseghyan, the Fine Art teacher at Yerevan basic school N78 after H. Hayrapetyan, which is included in UNESCO associated schools network, and 9th grade student Davit Kavkasyan successfully participated in international environmental youth forum under the heading of “One planet, One Future” within the scope of “Save and Protect” international environmental movement in Khanty-Mansiysk city, Russia.
During the events organized within the framework of the forum, the Armenian delegates presented Armenia and the peculiarities of our country through national songs and dances, dishes and videos prepared for special events.
In his speech, the 9th-grade student Davit Kavkasyan presented the cultural values that are included in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List. Special reference was made to the ecological significance and issues of Lake Sevan.
Within the scope of the competition held on the 3rd day of the Youth Environmental Forum, teacher Artak Barseghyan presented the flower gathering event at the Armenian Genocide Memorial on April 26, during which the pupils of school N 78 and school eco club members participated in the recycling activities of vegetable waste.
