Chinese school in Armenia to open on September 1st
Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyuyan received Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Tian Erlon. While welcoming the Ambassador, Minister of Education and Science highlighted that the new government of Armenia calls special attention to the development of education. For the development process, Minister Harutyunyan stressed the importance of advanced and robust relationships between RA Armenia and PRC. The Minister also added that the school with Chinese in-depth learning has its high value in the growth of cooperation between the countries. Moreover, the school will open its doors at the start of this educational year.
Ambassador Erlon, in his turn, congratulated Minister Harutyunyan on appointing as Minister of Education and Science and hoped that the cooperation in the field of education would grow. Referring back to the Chinese school in Armenia the Ambassador assured that China will complete the construction by the second half of August, as recognized previously. He then continued that the Chinese Government will support the learning process of Chinese language and will soon send appropriate teachers.
During the meeting, the possibilities and problems of higher education between RA Armenia and PRC via international programs have also been discussed. Furthermore, they considered other topics related to cooperation between China and Armenia.
